There are actually a number of other things that can cause baldness including nutritional deficiency, medications, surgery, medical conditions, and hormonal changes. One of the most common reasons for rapid baldness is thyroid disease.

  • Visit your doctor to make sure that you have a good diet and the right balance of nutrients
  • Think about the possibility of using natural and other alternative solutions.

When analyzing your health the hair is actually very important, hair cells grow very quickly which can mean any problems can be noticed with the hair first. The worst symptom caused by thyroid problems is normally some loss of hair; this could be thinning hair, or clumps falling out.

It’s important to visit a dermatologist to get an evaluation before you do anything else, don’t just assume that this is a thyroid problem. They will be able to look at the exact symptoms and decide what could be causing it; it could for example be an infection. Once you have found the cause then it can be managed, this should slow down and hopefully eventually stop the loss of hair. If you do need to change medications then it can take a few months for this to become apparent.

You should try to understand some of the different types of baldness which can affect anyone; the type you are suffering from will change the type of treatment which is suitable. Baldness can be managed if you find out exactly what the problem is which is causing it. Even if you suffer from thyroid problems make sure you don’t immediately think that it’s that!
